Fractions Board Games

Earlier in term 1, the wise owls created their own Fractions Board Games in Maths class. You can tell how creative they were from their works. Very well done, guys!

This "Digestive Board Game" was created by Austin. Don't get frustated when you play this game, because whether you win or lose, you'll end up in the toilet... -.-'

Mirza shows how much he loves Indonesia with his "Around Indonesia" board games. You're gonna love the details.

Let's see how you can escape from a "Haunted House" by trying Rhodrick's board games.

The girls are enjoying some adventures in their board games. Jasmine travels in the "Moustache Land", Leony in her "Strange Land", while Rachel goes into the "Detective Land".

 As Mirza travels all around Indonesia, Vitto goes further by travelling around the world with his board game.

The wise owls would like to share some fun facts they found from several sources :

1.       Your forearm (from inside of elbow to inside of wrist) is the same length as your foot.

2.       The average person has at least seven dreams a night.

3.       The strongest muscle in proportion to its size in the human’s body is the tongue.

5.       There is a pumpkin weighs 53 kg! It is 5 weeks old.

7.       An average human male will eat about 50 tons of food (equivalent to a humpback whale), during his lifetime.

8.       A woman named Stacey Herald was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, which stopped her growth. Doctors said that giving birth would kill her. However, she succeeded in giving birth to 3 babies!

9.       We can save 10% of electricity by taking off electrical plugs. Even though electrical appliances are turned off, the electrical currents will flow if they are still plugged in.

10.   We use up more electricity if we press on the ‘CLOSE’ button in an elevator.

11.   Birds have two sections in their stomach. One acts as a ‘storage room’ for excess food because birds can’t eat too much food in one go.

13.   The hammerhead shark can’t float on water. Its hammer-like head helps it swim and float in water.
