Watch Us Grow ^o^

Time flies...
Yep! I still remember the 1st time I met this class...
my cute little babies have grown into smart outstanding kids... kinda makes me feel old :'(
we discussed how much they've grown and they still had those memories with them!
They remembered their heights and weights measurements back in P2 when we used to do many measuring sessions in Maths class. This time, it's not really about Maths. In Health Education class, we compared how much they've grown...

look at how adorable they were... (well, they still ARE! )

Let's estimate!

It's shopping time...!!!
In Maths class, the students met estimation topic again. This time, they had to estimate shopping budgets. They went to Carrefour Citra Garden. They had such a fun learning moment there. Well, of course, who doesn't love shopping? These are some of the moments captured :

Back in school they worked out their 'Shopping Estimation Report' seriously. Here they are, concentrating on the numbers.

we love vitamins!

In Science class, the students learned about nutrients. One of the main nutrients they discussed is the vitamins group. They worked as a group to make these vitamins posters. Simple, but effective enough to let them identify the vitamins, the food sources and the functions.

we are small, but we do BIG things...

Being underestimated, being misunderstood, being wrongly assumed....
Those are some things we've been through... Common things we face....
However, we can always show everyone that "we are small, but we do BIG things..."

Get to know us

Hi!!! I'm Widya. I'm teaching Grade 5 in Batari School. Our school is located at Jl. Sei Serayu 69, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
My class is quite a small one. There are 8 students, Austin, Jasmine, Justin, Leony, Mirza, Rachel, Rhodrick and Vitto.
These students are the first batch of our Primary school.

yes, we are the FIRST!!!

What comes to your mind when you hear ''tessellations''?
Well, ''tessellations'' is not a new thing for my students. They've known, seen and created it.
This time, I proudly present you the artworks they came up with.

And here they are, with their master pieces :

I'm even prouder to announce it right here, that we are the FIRST school out of America, which has its gallery in www.tessellations.org. Yes, we are the first, ever! That obviously makes us the FIRST school from Indonesia to have a gallery in www.tessellations.org !
Special thanks to Mr. Seth B. from www.tessellations.org for being so positive, considerate and appreciative to the students' works. We really appreciate it....
we are small, but we do BIG things! keep it up, guys...
